After a few weeks off the computer, it's good to be typing away again. We got back from Spring Break in Lake Chelan well rested and ready to tackle the end of the school year. We visited all our favorite spots and soaked up some well needed sunshine.
The beautiful view of the lake from our condo!
Leavenworth was high on our list to hit this year. We usually run out of time to go through this cute little town but it was worth the drive. Mookie and I had a great time visiting all the shops while big man tried to convince his buddies at home we were in Germany. Silly boys!
We always make a point to head into Manson for breakfast or lunch at Blueberry Hill. A great family owned farm and resturant...we just love it. They totally hooked us up in November with our Thanksgiving pies. This time we went with blueberry and apple/carmel...YUM! Do you see that sunshine, it was wonderful.
This is our favorite roadside stop and shop just outside Leavenworth. I just love all the homemade dressings, marinades, jams, jellies, spices, and preserved items(carrots, pickles) and pasta they sell. It would be nice to see all the fruit during the summer but we are usually over here too early.
One highlight of the trip, at least for me is visiting my great Uncle and Aunt who live in Quincy. Every year we meet up with them at Apple Annies (a huge antique mall in Cashmere), visit, shop and have lunch. They are both celebrating their 90th birthdays this year....hope I have those genes, I think they look great!
we rode bikes
Mookie spotted Beber
we napped
we posed for lots of pictures.
We also played tennis, swung on the swings at the park, went up to walmart for a treat nearly every day, worked out, watched tons of movies(thanks red box), and enjoyed each others company. So glad we can still drag the kids away from their busy lives to have family time.
Here are the kids with some friends back in 2007, one of our first trips to Wapato. They have grown so much over the years and this place has some great memories for us.
Good to be back!
Teresa
Glad you are back! Looks like you had a great time! Thanks for bringing a little bit of sunshine back with you. Badly needed!!!
