First lets start with Mookies' finished project:
Isn't it lovely, if you missed the earlier post, mookie made this out of black denium knit(jegging fabric) with a coordinating camo knit at the waist band. She combined two patterns to get this original design. Her sewing is really improving and I am so proud of her.
Now on to the show: Mind you, I had the video camera in one hand and still camera in the other so this is one of the few that were not blurry. Note to self...bring mono pod.
This was at the end of the show when all the kids and their mentors did their final walk. Mookie had so much fun. She just cracked me up on stage. She is so comfortable in front of a crowd and it really showed. As Annette asked for a big round of applase, mookie gave them the "come on, let me hear ya" motions as well as flashing some jazz fingers when it was mentioned she did show choir.
After the fashion show, Annette invited Mookie and I back to the Pacific Fabrics booth to show all the ladies her new creation.
Again, I'm just so proud of her! Good Job Mookie. Mookie also came home with a fabulous goodie bag full of thread, gadgets, patterns, needles...just all kinds of fun stuff to add to her sewing stash.
Fabulous weekend!
