Halloween Swap Done!

 
Just heading off to the postman to send my partner her halloween/fall apron and goodies.  I found a great piece of vintage fabric for the front tnad made the back black and white polka dottie!  Also put in lots of goodies.  Hope she likes it!

It's that time of year again!

The time when we turn our focus from our yards, to our homes.  We start nestling in for the cooler weather and the holidays.  Then we notice the walls are a bit bland, the furniture needs to be moved around, and something, you just can't pin point, needs to be done.  It's the perfect time for a Redesign.  And these are my specialty!!!!  For years now I have been working with Island residents to redesign, recolor, rediscover the beauty in their homes.  I love it, it's in my blood.  This month I will be the featured Redesigner in the Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (IRIS for short) Newsletter.  Check it out at www.weredesign.com.  I received my redesign training and have been a professional member of IRIS since 2003.  Check out some of the work I've done over the years:

Halloween Decor

Happy Halloween!

I finally finished my dining room display.  I'm happy with the results, I think it turned out totally cool.  My kiddies love it so that's all that matters, really.  I usually skip right on to fall and Thanksgiving but this was a lot of fun to put together for them.    Almost all the items are thrift or dollar store finds....even decorators are on budgets.  I always have a can of spray paint around so that helps unify found items into a collection that looks like it was ment to be together.  I created the art work from vintage prints and dollar store frames(painted), the EEK and BOO are card stock cut from my cricut (LOVE THAT TOY), spider webs are cheese cloth strips.  Penant banner was created with card stock and vintage prints as well.  Here are more before and afters:

I am now putting most of my attention on Christmas.  I have a few Holiday Bazaars coming up to sell  Mookie&Me aprons and my new collection of UpClyle Chic gift items.  I will be featuring some of them next week.  Until then,

Homecoming 2010

GO WILDCATS!!!!!

 
 Homecoming week is always a flurry of activities.  Themed Dress Up, Spirit Friday, Football lunch, Decorate the Town, Team dinner, Football (We Won again!), Cheer, and Homecoming dance.

 

 
Mookie and the girls got all dressed up and had just the best time at the dance this year.
