With the holidays fast approaching, I have been busy working on my christmas plan. Mookie and I had a wonderful time with my Mom hosting a booth at the annual Regency Holiday Bazaar.
This was so much fun. Mom made her wonderful hand beaded tree pins (hope you can see them), mookie and I had a ton of aprons on display. The day went by so quickly! We were able to get the word out about our wonderful aprons and spend the whole day with my Momma, what could be better!
On the home front, the christmas transformations have begun. Today I brought in the trees. I have three. In the sitting room I do a beach inspired tree with family photos. We have never had many family members around for the holidays so when the kids were younger I put all our family members into little frames and hung them so they would know everyone. As the years have gone by, we come to look forward to seeing all the relatives on the tree. I moved my dining table to the porch so I have more room to set the table for the tea. On my tea cart I set up my table top tree. This tree is inspired by my small (but growing)collection of tea ornaments. It used to be a tea wreath but now fits a tree. Our big family tree is all beachy blues and green and red with sparkles, glitter and thousands of lights. I'm serious, I learned to light a tree while working at Macys and I just love all the lights. Every single branch is wrapped, very time consuming but worth it.
After the trees will come the greens, and candles and other decorations. I'm so excited. I'll start sharing pictures as I move through the house during the weeks to come. All will be done in preparation for our Annual Mom and Daughter Christmas tea on the 6th. Then I can sit back, relax and enjoy the holidays.
